Night Time Routine

It's that time again. The last day of the school holidays *cries*. So for some reason i always make extra time to complete this routine for an occasion or certain day i.e first day back. I thought of doing this post as it may give you ideas on what to include in your routine.

I didn't include a face mask tonight due to the plain fact that i didn't have any in!

But lets start from the beginning.
I'll run a bath or shower. I personally prefer baths on nights like these, because i find them more relaxing but you can do whatever suits you best :)
I'd use lush usually, but i don't have any at the moment (i'm not very prepared as per usual!).
I'm currently using the alberto balsam shampoo in coconut. I do have the conditioner but i'm not too keen on it. As i feel it makes my hair feel a lot thinner and i have to backcomb my hair a lot more to get volume when i use it. (I don't know why, it could just be me!) I also used the St Ives face scrub. It says blemish fighting, but i don't see a difference but my face always feels a lot fresher and clean when i use it.
I also shaved my legs etc while in the bath so i was silkey smooth :D

When i was out of the bath and into my pj's. I dried my hair and used the Herbal Essences split end cream. I then cleansed and toned  my face using the Nivea Visage Daily Essentials products, seen in the picture above. I used a giant cotton pad which you can see in my January Favourites in the post below.
Then i used Lush's Grease Lightning over my problem areas.

Next i moisturised my legs with the Boots amazon forest Body Butter. I really like this body butter. Its sort of  a copy of the Body Shop's body butter. But the texture is completely different and i actually like this better and the price tag is A LOT better!

You may have to tilt your screen back to see this picture! (photography fail) But finally i'll tend to my nails. I'll do this every Sunday due to the fact that i hate my nails when they don't look healthy and clean. Because we're not allowed to wear nail varnish at my school, i use a clear nail varnish as it creates a subtle shine and i can get away with it! At the moment i'm using the Model's Own 3in1 nail varnish. Before that though, i'll remove old nail varnish and then file them into a square-ish sort of shape. I'll then push down my cuticles, then my nails are prepped and ready for the nail varnish.

And that's it! It's nothing special really, but i thought i would share it all with you. If you have any blog requests, please feel free to leave them below.

Tah-Tah for now!

January Favourites

So new year, new products?....well i suppose, but you can't beat the oldies :D
Now i know that i need to improve on my photography, but it's my first post, i think you can let me off this time! I decided to split it up into make-up and then random bits just because i don't have a lot of other products to make up 'categories'

GARNIER BB CREAM
This is actually my mum's but i pinched it of her (sshhh) 'I' have this in medium, which i thought would be a bit to dark for my skin tone. But it looks fine. If you're a teenager who has spots or a bit of acne this is perfect for you, as i found foundation to stick around my spots and make them more visible. But this on the other hand is perfect as it covers and most importantly doesn't stick to your dry areas or around imperfections. At £7.49 it isn't the cheapest nor the dearest, but i will definitely will be going out and buying my own very soon!

REVLON JUST BITTEN KISSABLE BALM STAIN
L-R 001 HONEY, 005 CRUSH
I've wanted these for forever and a day and it seems that everyone and their fish had them, so when i saw them at £5.00 (originally priced at £7.99) i grabbed them! Now i don't have swatches because i'm stupid, but i'm sure you've seen these colours before.
These balm stains are so easy to apply and stay on for around half an hour to an hour. I''ve never tried lip stains or balm stains before so i can't really compare them to anything else, but they are very creamy and don't smudge.
Honey is a 'your lips but better' sort of colour, and Crush is more of a vampy raspberry/'purpilish' colour depending on how much you build the colour.
Again at £7.99 they aren't the cheapest nor dearest but i think they are a bit over priced for what they are and i think they should stay at £5.00!!! But if you are trying to build your lip collection up like myself, these are a definitely good product to have!

RIMMEL STAY MATTE PRESSED POWDER-005 SILKY BEIGE
RIMMEL MATCH PERFECTION CONCEALER-010 IVORY
These bad boys are my holy grail product! I use them everyday, the concealer to hide dark circles and the powder to set it as well as matte my t-zone.
The concealer (£5.99) is amazingly priced and a great  product. Its a light-medium coverage, great if you don't really suffer from really bad dark circles like myself, as well as brightening. It doesn't brighten un-naturally but just enough to make you look bright eyed and bushy tailed! The only thing that lets the concealer down is that it isn't great for covering
spots. It covers redness but seems to get caught around the blemish.
The powder (£3.99)is, yet again, great and does exactly what is says on the tin. Its great for matt-i-fying the skin and setting concealer. It doesn't make you look 'cakey' and settles nicely to your skin and looks very natural. And at £3.99 you can't really go wrong!

SUDOCREM
At £2.55 you can't go wrong, not only is it great for baby's bums! It's great for healing spots and taking the redness out.
If you suffer with red spots/acne like myself i'm sure you hate it when you're at a party and all you seem to think about is your spots when taking pictures then a couple of hours before you start getting ready slap lots and i mean LOTS of this all over your face and let it SINK IN. Do not rub it in! Yes, you will look a bit silly but it really helps. Sometimes i even go to bed with it on my face so i wake up with a fresh faced, less red forehead! Trust me just go out and get some and you'll love it!

SKIN THERAPY, LARGE OVAL COTTON WOOL PADS
Once you've tried these you will never go back to the small ones!
I never got the hype over these until my mum picked them up for me. I used to use the small circle ones and every night i'd use about 3, to take my make-up off and then to cleanse my face. Not with these! You will need 2 at the most! And even then i feel like i'm wasting them! You can use one half to take your make-up off then the other half to use your cleanser and then your done! I think that's all i can say about cotton wool (haha) just go get some!!

VO5 INSTANT OOMPH POWDER
This tiny pot is my life saver! It is very small but it will last you forever as you only need a little bit for volume! If you know me then you'll know that i HATE when my hair is flat. It annoys me so much and sometimes back combing just isn't enough! Especially if you've washed you hair in the morning and you haven't got time to really back comb your hair just sprinkle a little bit of this in and it will give volume! Priced at £4.00-£4.07 it is quite pricey for a bit of powder so i usually just wait until it's on offer and buy two. The only thing that i'm not too keen on is the texture, it leaves in your hair especially if you've put too much in. It makes your hair feel really knotty and leaves a weird residue behind. It's not too big of an issue because i usually put this underneath so you can't see any 'weirdness' (haha)But if you do buy this just be aware.

EYLURE INDIVIDUAL LASHES - £4.95
I've been using these lashes for about a year now and i truly love them! If you're like me and find full lashes to much hassle and faff then these will be perfect! You get a row of small, medium and large. If i'm going out for a meal i'll usually put 1 medium on the end and 2-3 small to 'blend' them into my real lashes. They take some time to get to grips with, but i find using tweezers is better then my fingers. The only down side to these is if you drop one. If you drop the lash then it's really hard to find as they are small, as you can see by the picture I've lost a few medium ones! But at £5.00 they will easily be replaced if i lose all of them! I'm sure I will carry on using these eyelashes for a long time!

That's all folks, i hope you enjoyed my first post. If you have any questions about these products please leave them in the comments! Also any tips on how i can improve will be much appreciated!
